General Questions

Do you separate mobile and desktop campaigns?

I personally dont, some people do though. Sometimes I will shut off just mobile traffic, or just desktop traffic if it underperforms. However, I almost always am redirecting mobile traffic to a separate landing page within Voluum.

Whats better for nutraceutical offers, mobile or desktop traffic?

They both work. Don't limit yourself to one device. Run on all 3 devices, test and optimize from there.

Won't a lot of people in the group give us a lot of competition with the same way of working?

From my rough calculations, there's roughly $400,000 in commissions paid out each day in the diet advertising niche worldwide. So basically my logic is that until my company is paying out people at least $10,000,000 per month, then we wont be competing against ourselves. And if we reach that point, that will be great for everyone, right?

Is there a limit to the amount of people you guys will be taking on?

Not sure. I'll be accepting people in classes of 25 people at a time, and see how things pan out with them each time. That may mean tweaking the course a little, re-organizing things, encouraging people to run new offer verticals, new countries, etc. My goal is to have ads running for diet/skin/muscle products on every ad network, in every single country around the world.

How does your training compare to say Charles Ngo mentoring?

I recommend everyone who goes through my course also goes through the Charles Ngo mentoring program. Charles and I are good friends, he is an extremely smart person, and a much more accomplished affiliate than even myself! I like to think that what you miss out on from doing an ‘in-person' training, you receive in length, since my course is 12 weeks long.

I have a voluum account, a VPS from beyond hosting, also a HMA VPN. What other tools I will need?

We recommend that you get http://whatrunswhere.com as well or http://nativeadbuzz.com if you are running alot of native ads. These are good spy tools that you will use on the regular.

Any insight on where i should start in regards to my first campaign and research?

First you have to ask yourself where you want to put your focus. Is it Facebook or is it Native? If it's native then we suggest getting started on content.ad or revcontent.

Do you recommend exit pops?

Yes we recommend exit pops but not in all cases. I would split test this. If you're not cloaking, some ad networks may not allow this.

Do you want me to leave comments on the site?

Yes! Leave as many comments as possible! I look at them all, and use them to try and make the course better.

How long did it take you to run through all the steps for week 1?

It depends on the person. I can setup a dozen campaigns and optimize them in a week at this point, if they has 100% of my focus. I work roughly 16 hours a day though, and this is my fulltime job. That said, I take a lot of free time off in intermittant vacations to stay sane, and have no social life outside of work.

What geo would you advise starting out in?

We have had alot of success running diet in the following geos US, AU, NZ, CA and BR.

Any suggestions on what niche I should start with?

I recommend skincare. Diet has a lot of scrutiny surrounding it, because there are many criminal advertisers out there.

Does the offer ever get in the way of running compliant?

Usually the problem in ‘running compliant' is the landing page itself.

How are you coping with all these new affiliates ? Can you handle one more?

We only accept new people when we can handle and serve them.

Can I have access to your in-house campaigns in Voluum, for study purpose?

No. Did you watch my videos? I walk you through my campaigns every step of the way.

What should i complete first? Any recommendation on sequence?

Start at week 1 and move your way up.

Should I stick to one vertical and one traffic source in one geo?

Yes, while your learning the skills of data analysis and copywriting.

Domain Questions

Should my url end with .php ?

Generally yes. You can see http://www.quora.com/Why-do-some-URLs-end-with-php for more information.

Do I need a special domain name?

Not necessarily. I suggest people use domain names that come across as ‘value-added content sites' such as ‘thefletcherreport.com' or ‘socialhealthbuzz.org' or ‘goodvibesdaily.net'

Does it matter who hosts the website?

I suggest you use Hostdime if you are starting out, or Amazon Web Services if you are a larger affiliate and can afford it. Both are great options. However if you want to use a third party option, I suggest you use something that has cPanel, thats what I use in most of my videos.

I can’t find the offer.php files, any idea where i can download those from?

You are going to find these files in the members area where the landing pages are located.

Nutryst Network Questions

How well do the offers on your Nutryst Network convert?

The best converting, highest EPC offers are specified as ‘featured offers'

Are we going to work with Residual Commissions inside your network?

Not unless specified.

Budget Related Questions

I have $2000 to $3000 a month to test campaigns. Is this budget appropriate?

Yes.

I only have $________, what ad network should I advertise on?

Doesn't matter. Stop being afraid and just launch some ads. I've shown you a number of ad networks that work for me and my company.

What about ________ ad network? Is that a good network to test RIGHT NOW?

Doesnt matter. The most important thing to do is just launch ads, and optimize from there. Get into the habit of launching ads, analyzing the data, and learning from it. Thats the most important thing. If you are still worried about finding ‘the best ____' then you are doomed to failure, because you are scared to take action. If you are ready to become a true entrepreneur and live life on your own terms, you have to run your business, and your business is launching ads, analyzing data, optimizing, etc.

Do I need more than $2000-$3000 to test blackhat campaigns?

$2-3k is enough for testing any nutraceutical product, on any ad network.

I wanna do and master Fb ads, but in your opinion should I also need to test some other Native ads Network? (Consider I only have a budget 2k-3k a month)

My recommendation is that until you get your bearings straight, you test a vertical and ad network pair that you've seen me running, and have gotten profitable, until you have enough knowledge about analyzing data, optimizing data, and copywriting ads and new angles, to branch out to ad networks that you havent seen me run an offer on before. My course is meant to give you a stable foundation to stand on, so that you can reduce the number of variables (targeting, ads, landers, offers) that add up to success. You must learn to understand data analysis and copywriting though. If you dont consciously attempt to learn these skills while you are launching campaigns, then you are missing the point of the entire course. Copywriting and data analysis skills only come through experience… this course should serve as a foundation to gain that experience.

Ad Network Questions

Please keep in mind that many ad network specific questions can be answered in the help centers of the individual ad network. A major part of being a proactive entrepreneur is being resourceful, and it has never been easier than today. There is a great wealth of information on every subject available to you through a quick search on Google! In my course I focus my time on knowledge that you cannot find anywhere else on the internet, so please Google your questions first, before you ask any ad network specific questions. GET TO KNOW YOUR AD NETWORK! Read EVERYTHING. Here are some quick resources for the most common ad networks:

Facebook Ads: https://www.facebook.com/business/resources

Google Adwords: https://support.google.com/adwords/

Yahoo Gemini: https://help.yahoo.com/adv/gemini-advertiser

Content.ad: http://help.content.ad/

Rev.Content: http://faq.revcontent.com/support/home

Which ad network should I run? Facebook, Google, Content.ad, Outbrain, etc…..

Doesn't matter. Part of being an entrepreneur is being able to make your own decisions. All the ad networks listed above work for diet/skin/muscle offers. Pick one. If you don't get used to making your own decisions as an entrepreneur, then you will never work for yourself. Again, I will repeat, if you don't get used to making your own decisions as an entrepreneur, then you will never reach the next level in your life, and you will always be subject to others. Your embrace of freedom starts here. There isn't a textbook for life. This is where your journey begins. Stop

Do I need to setup a Facebook fan page?

Please refer to the Facebook ads help center above. To do anything other than righthand-side ads, you need a fanpage. I would recommend though that you just setup a facebook ads account, and start playing around. No harm can come from that.

Do you still need to redirect in content.ad even when you pick advertorial?

If the advertorial is non-compliant then yes you need to redirect/cloak to a compliant landing page to run traffic to it.

Can you tell me which variables go into voluum for content.ad?

The following variables should be used for content.ad: cid=[cid]&adid=[adid]&pub_did=[did]

I am not from the US and dont have US credit card. I have ad issues several time running FB targeting US. Do you help with this? Do you show exactly how we can run?

The easiest way is to setup an LLC or a corporation in the US through LegalZoom. After you do that, you can setup a bank account, which will enable you to get US credit cards. I am no expert in this area though, so I would do a few Google searches to find better advice.

Do you get banned often in facebook or is it pretty easy to keep accounts?

When you are running non-compliant landing pages, and/or non-compliant offers, you will get banned very often, no matter how ‘good' your farmed accounts are.

Do you have a representative you can connect me with for ________ ad network?

I would contact/call the ad network you are working with first. The second thing I would do is ask people within the facebook mastermind. If you are sending a good deal of click volume through the Nutryst Network, then I would ask your Affiliate Mentor at Nutryst….they'll be able to hook you up.

What kind of barriers to entry are there on native sources?

The biggest barrier to entry on native ad networks is that there are limited targeting options, which forces affiliates to target very broadly, and thereby these traffic sources only work well in very broad-appeal verticals such as diet, skincare, muscle, anti-aging, blood pressure, etc. The corollary of this lack of targeting options is that there is only space for far fewer affiliates, but thereby the affiliates that do run end up making lots of bank.

What happens if on eof these content networks ban you…Is it just like fb? Just Open another account?

No it is not like Facebook. Most content networks allow you to open up as many accounts as you would like without having to use a vps or anything of the sort.

Hey on these other networks do you set up fake accounts under separate cards? Or just run with your own company one?

If you are running whitehat then we suggest that you use your real company name as there will be no reason to fool the ad network.

Would you generally suggest starting with FB or a native ads traffic source?

I suggest starting off by running some of our featured offers that are VSLs, on native ad networks, since you do not need a landing page.

Do you need to cloak on native ad networks or are they pretty relaxed when it comes to non-compliant landing pages?

It varies, and is constantly changing.

Does Content.ad have a lot of mobile traffic?

Yes.

Whats the difference between non-commercial and what ever other options they offer as an advertiser on content.ad?

You can find this information online you lazy bum! –>  http://help.content.ad/what-kind-of-content-is-allowed-to-be-promoted-in-content-ad/

Also I am interested in learn about Native, when will be the video available?

As you know, we run a mix of Facebook and native advertising. We are constantly adding more videos to the membership area, so be on the lookout.

RevContent has taken over 10 days to approve my ad and its still in review… What do I do?

Did you try contacting your ad rep? Or the ad networks support? You should probably do that. I (unfortunately!) have zero control over the ad network. 🙁

What do you think about testing with ________ traffic? Do you recommend it right now?

Test it out. The most important thing you can do is launch. Don't let your fear hold you back from launching a little ad.

Are your landers safe to run on _______ network?

Check your ad network terms of service, check with your ad network rep, or just try running them and see what happens. I am not in control of the ad networks, I hope that makes sense.

What is the “ideal” CTR and CPC you recommend for Fb (and on Native ads) for these three verticals: Diet, Muscle and Skincare?

Generally speaking, 5-10% is a good CTR in the US and the rest of the world, and a good CPC is .25 in the US. That said, it varies greatly by country, and the most important thing is ROI. I have spent $2.5per click on a campaign and been profitable, and have also spent .01 per click on a campaign, and still lost money. The most important thing is to LAUNCH and test for yourself.

To master Facebook ads, do I need to test a lot of Advertorials (Landing pages) or not really?

The most important thing to do is to launch ad campaigns. I generally recommend to be testing 3-5 landing pages at a particular time. If you are running an offer that is a VSL, you should also test direct linking. My process for testing them can be seen within my videos.

What is your testing process with landing pages and offers?

This is covered in the videos extensively. I generally test 3-5 landers at a time, and 2-3 offers. If I know what lander works best, I may not test the lander. If I know what offer works best, I may not test an offer. The most important thing though is to launch.

For Fb ads, what you recommend right now: USA?, CA? UK? AU? NZ? Other countries? (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Latin America – Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, etc. )

It doesnt matter. If you're asking this question you're probably not launching campaigns. Thats what you should be doing.

For mastering Facebook ads, what you recommend about targeting? a,b,c,d,e?

I recommend lookalike audiences. Start with a 1% lookalike audience on US traffic. You can usually get away starting with 5% to 10% on international traffic. The most important thing though is that you LAUNCH first and FAIL. That will be a better learning experience than getting the answers from me. The main point of my course is actually not to give you knowledge. The main purpose of my course is to give you confidence to START, and to KEEP GOING. Once you do that, you will figure out the rest. Survival instincts are strong within us.

Do you recommend to buy email lists to do Lookalike audiences? (for example for diet, muscle and skincare)

I recommend you email the offer owner to provide you with a list of 1000 emails. We provide some email lists of our own through a section in the course membership area.

Which is the minimum audience I need to run either for interest and for custom audience?

Last time I checked it was 1000. Please reference https://www.facebook.com/business/help/ for up-to-date information though.

Facebook Accounts

About to run blackhat, I wanna know your exact process respect to fb accounts, Ips, VPS, etc.

I believe you are referring to ‘farming' facebook accounts, and this is not only a violation of Facebooks Terms of Service, but also a violation of United States laws.

“Fake profiles and Pages created to imitate real people (impostor accounts) are not allowed on Facebook.” – https://www.facebook.com/help/207209825981040

I have been planning to start farming my own FB accounts, do you farm your own or have you ever used your own?

I recommend you use your own facebook accouoffernt for all advertising. Fake facebook accounts are not allowed.

“Fake profiles and Pages created to imitate real people (impostor accounts) are not allowed on Facebook.” – https://www.facebook.com/help/207209825981040

I am based in Costa Rica and do not have any US bank accounts nor credit card access right now, I heard about the accounts have to be linked to a specific US credit card if I purchase it from someone outside of CR.

If you are having problems setting up an ad account in Costa Rica, I encourage you to contact facebook ads support – https://business.facebook.com/

Tracking/Cloaking

What cloaker should I use?

I suggest you simply use Voluum, and redirect locations, ISPs and IPs that you dont want. If you *really* want to use a cloaking program, I suggest noIPfraud if you can get referrals from 2 people (no we dont give referrals), or http://justcloakit.com/.

I noticed that you use name custom variable in your campaign url and also pass subid1 to affiliate network as affiliate name. Do we need to do that?

We only do this so we can track which media buyer is driving sales. I recommend you pass your conversion id in the s1, ad network in s2, browser version in the s3, device in s4, and OS in s5.

How do I set up the Click Url section in voluum?

What would be a clean page we can cloak these landers with?

Generally, a ‘clean page' refers to a page that the ad networks would want to see. This is covered in the videos. A VSL offer that is compliant with all terms and conditions of the particular ad network would be a great choice.

Did I need to put the voluum offer link as the hyperlink on the landing page? Because I just have my Nutryst link on my landers.

Yes, you need to put the voluum link on all your landers, otherwise you wont be able to track clicks correctly, or split-test.

Do you have the offer.php file? Some of the lander uploads dont have it included.

Here is the offer.php file available for download. You have to change the file extension to .php instead of .txt. Note that not ALL landers use the offer.php file, and that you can always manually go in and change links in the landers on your own.

Other

How hard is it for a new guy like me to get started and make money?

Depends on how bad you want it.

Will I be able to put in development requests?

This may be an option for affiliates in the future, but we will only allow this for affiliates sending at least a few thousand dollars per day in traffic with Nutryst.

I am currently using CPV Lab as my tracker, do you recommend to keep using this one or just get Voluum?

I 100% recommend you switch to Voluum. Use my affiliate link here.

Can you please give a sample of a landing page url where random characters are added at the end of the url so that it cannot be found by the competition?

Sorry, Im not sure what this is. I would recommend posting a job for this on Elance or Odesk.
